Pops can't wait to get me home and curl-up for a nap!! The hospital sure doesn't believe in letting you rest, but they did make sure Mommy and I stayed healthy!! Thank you to the entire staff of the Labor and Delivery floor of Decatur General Hospital for taking such good care of us and providing a comfortable suite for my first days of life!!

The nursery staff gave me great care during my first few days of life!

The official weigh-in and status check. 8 lbs 7oz, 20.5 inches long, my chest was 14" and head was 14". Looking good and happy to be out in the "real" world.

Thank You Mommy for being so strong and bringing me into this beautiful world so healthy!! The labor had its good times and its bad, but the staff at the Labor & Delivery; especially Mona, made this day seem so much easier than it was. Mommy was induced around 7:30 this morning and was doing great until my heart rate started slowing, so Dr. Pegram adjusted Mommy's meds and the heart rate and labor seemed to be back at normal. At about 1:10 this afternoon my heart rate fell and hovered from 55-85 for just long enough for the nurses to make the call for a C-section due to newborn distress at around 1:20, I was born a healthy baby boy 4 minutes later. When Dr.Pegram got to me I had wrapped the umbilical cord around my neck, shoulders, and one leg, so THANK HEAVENS we induced today and everything is going great with Mommy and I.

Mommy and Pops just left the "doc" and we are going to induce labor tomorrow morning @ 6:00 !! Good Luck Mommy, Cant wait to be held in yours and Pops' arms!! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Doctor Update Week 38

Dr.Pegram said Mommy wasn't ready for me to make my entrance:( But we go back and see him Monday morning to see if Mommys conditions have improved. If things look good we MIGHT induce Tuesday or worst case Friday the 13th. Hope to see you all soon!!
